Evidence-informed care for depression and brain health
When standard approaches have not provided enough relief—or when you are looking for a non-medication, physician-guided treatment option—interventional mental health offers additional tools to support brain health. At Ashewell, we use thoughtful screening, individualized treatment planning, and coordination with your psychiatrist or therapist, when appropriate. Ashewell is pleased to offer Exomind, a noninvasive treatment that uses focused magnetic stimulation technology known as ExoTMS™.

Exomind is FDA-cleared for the treatment of Major Depressive Disorder in adults who have not achieved satisfactory improvement from prior antidepressant medication during their current depressive episode. Whether treatment is appropriate depends on your personal medical and mental-health history.
Treatments are performed in the office, do not require sedation, and patients can return to their usual activities afterward.
Who is it for?
Exomind may be an option for Ashewell patients and members of the public who are interested in learning more about a non-medication treatment approach for depression and related mood concerns. In the United States, Exomind is FDA-cleared for the treatment of Major Depressive Disorder in adults who have not achieved satisfactory improvement from prior antidepressant medication during their current depressive episode. Whether treatment is appropriate depends on your personal medical and mental-health history.
What is interventional mental health?
Interventional mental health uses targeted, noninvasive or procedure-based treatments to support people with certain mental-health conditions. These approaches may be considered alongside—not necessarily instead of—therapy, medication management, sleep care, movement, nutrition, and other supports.
At Ashewell, care begins with a medical evaluation. We review your symptoms, diagnosis, treatment history, medications, safety considerations, goals, and whether an interventional approach is appropriate for you.
Our approach is physician-led, individualized, and grounded in safety. We do not offer interventional care as a replacement for urgent psychiatric treatment or crisis services.

Our current treatment: Exomind TMS
Exomind is a transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) platform. TMS uses focused magnetic pulses to stimulate targeted areas of the brain involved in mood, attention, and emotional regulation. Treatment is noninvasive and does not require anesthesia or sedation.
A treatment session is completed in the office. You remain awake and can return to most normal activities afterward.
Possible reasons to discuss TMS with us include:
- Major depressive disorder, particularly when symptoms have persisted despite standard treatment.
- Difficulty tolerating or preferring to limit medication-based treatment, when clinically appropriate.
- Interest in an evidence-informed, noninvasive treatment option.
- Wellness or brain-health goals, only after a physician-led evaluation and safety screening.
Important: Whether TMS is appropriate depends on the individual diagnosis, symptoms, medication history, implanted-device/metal screening, seizure-risk factors, current psychiatric stability, and treatment goals.
