HOW DOES EMSELLA WORK?
Emsella delivers electromagnetic stimulation to the pelvic-floor musculature while you sit fully clothed in the treatment chair. This stimulation produces repeated pelvic-floor muscle contractions intended to help rehabilitate weak muscles and restore neuromuscular control.
Emsella is FDA-cleared for the treatment of male and female urinary incontinence through rehabilitation of weak pelvic-floor muscles and restoration of neuromuscular control.
A PHYSICIAN GUIDED APPROACH
Emsella is not the right treatment for every patient or every type of urinary symptom.
At Ashewell, we begin with a safety assessment and structured urinary-symptom questions adapted from the ICIQ-UI Short Form. A physician then considers your symptoms, medical history, treatment goals and safety factors before recommending treatment.
When appropriate, we may also discuss pelvic-floor physical therapy, medical evaluation, hormone-related factors or other pelvic-health strategies.
WHAT TO EXPECT
1. Complete the Assessment
The online assessment includes a safety screen and structured urinary-symptom questions adapted from the ICIQ-UI Short Form. Your answers may indicate that additional information or physician review is needed. You can also identify other pelvic-health concerns you would like to discuss during your consultation.
2. Meet with Dr. Brown
After you complete our short initial pelvic health assessment, you can schedule a free 10-minute consultation to discuss whether Emsella is a reasonable next step.
3. Receive an Individualized Plan
If you are a candidate, you will receive a written recommendation describing the proposed treatment series, maintenance sessions and exact cost before you decide whether to enroll.
No payment is collected through the assessment.
4. Measure Your Progress
Enrolled patients are assessed at baseline and reassessed at regular follow-up intervals to assess progress throughout treatment.
Treatment plans and pricing are individualized. If you are a candidate, your written recommendation will specify the initial treatment series, maintenance sessions included at no additional charge for 12 months, and total cost before you decide whether to enroll.
CAN I DISCUSS OTHER PELVIC HEALTH SYMPTOMS?
Yes. Sexual function, erectile function, back or gluteal pain, sciatica-type symptoms, and restless-legs symptoms can be discussed during your consultation. For enrolled patients who consent, Ashewell may track these as separate exploratory patient-reported outcomes. Emsella is not FDA-cleared in the United States to treat these conditions, and improvement is not promised.

IS EMSELLA SAFE FOR EVERYONE?
Safety screening is required. Emsella is not appropriate for everyone, including some people with implanted electronic or metal devices and patients who are pregnant. Additional medical conditions may require physician review. Complete the assessment honestly; Dr. Brown makes the final eligibility decision.
